Ben swoops in to successfully save her just as his own personal childhood idol, the legendary armored corporate savior Captain Nemesis (Carl Nesmith), arrives on the scene. Grateful and completely starstruck by Ben's diverse shapeshifting forms, Jennifer immediately fawns over Ben, leaving Nemesis deeply resentful of losing the spotlight.

Desperate to reclaim his title as Earth's supreme protector, Captain Nemesis publicly challenges Ben to a series of highly publicized superhero friendly competitions. Ben agrees, and despite Nemesis' advanced battle-suit enhancements, Ben wins every single challenge by utilizing forms like Big Chill and Water Hazard. The bitter defeat drives Nemesis over the edge, pushing him to ally with criminal elements to orchestrate deadly accidents around the city so he can swoop in and stage heroic saves to rebuild his brand.

The corporate facade crumbles when Gwen and Kevin trace the terrorists' high-tech weaponry straight back to Nesmith's logistics warehouses. Exposed and completely unhinged, Captain Nemesis kidnaps Jennifer Nocturne and threatens to drop her from a massive height to draw Ben out. Ben matches Nemesis' heavy exo-suit weaponry by triggering the Ultimatrix's ultimate function, transforming into Ultimate Humungousaur to completely shatter the armor, save Jennifer, and hand the disgraced former icon over to the authorities.
