Ben 10 Omniverse | S7 E01 | Clyde Five | in Tamil

Ben 10 Omniverse Season 7 Episode 1 — "Clyde Five"

The seventh season of Ben 10: Omniverse kicks off with a comedic and action-packed addition to the Tennyson family tree. The journey continues with Episode 1, "Clyde Five," where Ben's eccentric country cousin arrives in Bellwood with big dreams of becoming a superhero, unintentionally stumbling into intergalactic trouble.

While Ben and Rook are trying to show Clyde the realistic, day-to-day responsibilities of being Plumbers, a routine skirmish in Undertown changes everything. When a highly advanced alien battle suit—the Mark 5 Nanoshift Enabled Exo-Armor—accidentally binds itself to Clyde's wrist, a new, chaotic "hero" is born.

“I am Clyde Five! Armed with the mysterious... Cincotrix! Or whatever this thing is!”

Episode Summary

The episode opens in the underground alien city of Undertown, where the shady character Thirteen is showing off a devastating new weapon to Liam: the tech-heavy Mark 5 Exo-Armor suit. Meanwhile, Ben and Rook are dealing with Clyde, who wants to bypass training and immediately jump into fighting supervillains, much to Ben's annoyance.

The paths of our heroes and the criminals cross when Liam attempts to shake down a local sock vendor. Ben transforms into Crashhopper to take down the bird-like alien. During the chaotic brawl, the Exo-Armor device is dropped. Mistaking the high-tech mechanism for a futuristic sock reward, Clyde picks it up and accidentally attaches it to his wrist.

Dubbing himself "Clyde Five" and naming his new weapon the "Cincotrix," Clyde takes off on an uncontrollable joyride through Bellwood using built-in features like a freeze ray and an integrated corn cooker. Ben must transform into Astrodactyl and later Diamondhead to track down his cousin before the suit's automated defense protocols override Clyde's control completely, all while Liam and a horde of tech-hunting robots try to reclaim the armor.

Themes & Character Development

  • The Reality of Being a Hero: Clyde assumes being a superhero is all about fame, flashy gadgets, and cool poses, contrasting sharply with Ben's seasoned, structured experience alongside Rook.
  • Family and Patience: Ben is placed in the role of the mature mentor figure for once, showing immense patience (and a bit of sibling-like frustration) while keeping his well-meaning but reckless cousin safe.
  • Responsibility vs. Power: Just like Ben in the original pilot, Clyde finds out that powerful alien technology is incredibly dangerous when you lack the training and discipline to master it.

Fun Facts & Trivia

Did You Know?

  • Clyde Tennyson is voiced by guest star Jon Heder, who is best known for playing the titular character in the hit cult-classic comedy film "Napoleon Dynamite."
  • The design of the alien vehicles driving past the Proto-TRUK in Undertown are direct easter-egg references to the Cybertronian vehicle modes of Wheeljack, Bumblebee, and Jazz from the classic G1 Transformers pilot.
  • When viewing the tactical computer screens inside the Plumber Headquarters during this episode, Rook Blonko's last name is briefly misspelled as "Blanco."
  • The name "Clyde Five" and his self-made weapon name "Cincotrix" are direct puns playing on Ben's original "Ben 10" and "Omnitrix" titles, substituting the Spanish word for five (Cinco).
  • This episode showcases a rare instance where Ben does not use any of his heavy-hitter powerhouse aliens, opting instead for tactical movement and quick restraints with Crashhopper and Astrodactyl.

Legacy & Impact

"Clyde Five" serves as a fun, lighthearted palate cleanser that highlights how far Ben has grown since his early days. Seeing Ben deal with an overly enthusiastic family member who mirrors his own childhood immaturity shows how much of a true mentor and leader Ben has become by the time of the Omniverse series.

The episode remains a memorable entry for its unique guest voice talent and its subversion of the typical Omnitrix dynamic. It reinforces the core message of the Ben 10 universe—it isn't the alien watch or the high-tech suit that makes you a hero, but the responsibility and heart of the person wearing it.
